We open our eyes and see the first sight
It is none other
than a woman divine
The look of kindness and love we seek
Take pleasures for
granted is just mean
As we grow older, she takes many a role
A doll, a sister, and a companion for
lifetime
With great compassion, love n affection
She brings happiness
n joy untold each time
Yet most men folk are creatures most unkind
Gain the love and
lust her amorous contours
To dump later as mere objects of another kind
Instead of thanking
almighty for this best creation
They seek male progeny as if they are salvation
Little most realize how much humanity looses
each time

DeleteSeeing that Mother's Day is this weekend, I think this is there perfect ode to women. Reading it, it made me so proud to be one. Thank you for handling the subject with such gentleness and grace that it deserves. And I appreciate that even though you are male, you shone a light upon the sometimes contemptible nature of men and how they view women. Well said!

Every woman is important, Alka and it is unfortunate that they do not get the place they truly deserve:)
DeleteYou said it Rahul. It is also women who desire a male progeny -- both the mother and the mother-in-law!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard the song 'aurat ne janam diya mardon ko' from the film Dharamputra?
Zephyr, as long as the mother or MIL desire without interfering with the natural process it is fine but to play around with nature is criminal!I have heard that song many times in my early years:) Thanks a lot for your nice comment!
DeleteSo many sweet words every man should take always in mind!
