An Empty Nest

She opened her lovely eyes
To look up at bright starry sky
I bent n kissed the sweetie pie
A swollen chest held in pride
She grew from a cuddly baby
To a girl chirpy bubbly bright
Every day was sunshine n dreamy night
Time rolled on with sounds of delight
The nest today stands empty n quiet
She flapped her wings for a long flight
Have a happy life never any blight
Smiles abound never ever gloomy sights

  5. This is the second time that I have left my parents' nest empty, and though I can say they feel that bad because of mobile phones, I am enjoying being on the outside.

  7. Very beautiful Rahul. The empty nest remains empty if an effort is not made to bring a meaning and identity of its own.
