Saying what your mind does not agree with
Is what we often do to take a path less arduous
Doing what we would not like
Is what we often are enmeshed with
In the world of facades, the reality is lost
Only half-truths and lies are dished shamelessly most
Be childlike and innocent is taught most
Least practised and pursued as we grow more
Sit back to listen to beats of your heart
A silent rhythm unchanged despite tearing apart
Hear the songs of nature, birds chirp, revel n bask
Do any of these ever change to don any mask??

ReplyDeleteYou've taken to poetry rather seamlessly. Is it a new passion? I have tried but it just doesn't come to me.
A big thanks Alka for that kind comment! I dabble in poetry once in a while, not too often:) You write the prose so good that it appears better than most poetry.
DeleteSo succinctly put! Very true that Nature never dons a mask or false facade. She doesn't need to. It is only humans who want to impress that they turn deceitful by creating facades.
ReplyDeleteGrateful for that short and crisp comment Zephyr! Always a pleasure to see your comment.
DeleteThis is a mind blowing composition Rahul, excellent!
ReplyDeleteA sincere thanks Padmaja for liking!
DeleteNicely put Rahul.
ReplyDeleteWe're all putting up facades in the hope that we can do something for ourselves later in the day.
Doesn't work the way we want it though, does it?
Keep writing. Cheers,
