A Fragrant Begining

Hairdo was perfect and so was make up, on the sweet face
Playful sparkle in the eyes glowed in kohl lined almond base
Gold n red bangles play softly, with shimmer of her dress trace
She was a bride beauty fresh n happy, like a fragrant rose brace
A gentle perfumed kiss of the lavender tinged chilled air
Brings back sweet memories of many a playful childhood years
She now heads new abode bidding adieu to loving peers
New hopes and aspirations fill heart pounding, forgetting despair

PS: 1. This poem expresses the ‘Fresh n Happy, Experience’ of a new bride who is leaving her home in a car for a  journey with her soul mate to lead a new life.

  1. A very Lovely poem Rahul Sir.
Walking down the aisle is certainly the most sad and happiest experiences for a bride. The sorrow of leaving a major part of life and the thrill of entering into a new journey is breathtaking and nostalgic....
    gud luck for the contest.:)
