Song of Silence

No sound, no clamor, or blare,
It is a song of revered silence.
Quiet and still, not a move,
  Prevailing hush begins to soothe.
No cacophony, no mirth, not a whisper
Unending stillness n hush are sisters.
In chasing wild dreams of passion
We forgot to savor peace as a nation

  2. When you talk about chasing wild dreams in passion, I feel like passion is momentary and that we are idiots to be spending so much of time and thought and effort in attaining something apparently lopsided. If we as individuals are not at peace with ourselves, then no doubt, the family or the community or the nation will not be at peace.

  6. I was in Bodh Gaya recently praying & meditating at the sanctum of Buddha. The place was as you profoundly describe in your poem.I could meditate in total peace quite & solitude.

  7. Very nicely expressed. Complete silence has become a rare thing nowadays, though...This is the reason we go for our morning walks very early in the morning,,,I love the sound of just the birds...sometimes they too wake up late!
